Hanadi Al – Omani in the 1st Arab lady to pass Jaws program in Britain.

Microsoft & Info Center : Training course in Computer for blinds. 

            Info Center Company has conducted in co-operation with Microsoft International Company. The closing ceremony for honoring the graduates of the training course for usage of Computers Integrated office application for the blinds.

The expenses and expenditure of the whole course was paid by both companies.

            Opening Ceremony started with speech given by Mr. Adnan AL Moosa, Executive Partner in Info Center Company who said, the new blind trainee's started using new and advanced programs, where the systems were equipped with some idioms run by the key board which give the trainee audible instruction, and this course was supervised by experienced & qualified Mr. Ahmad Ali Murtaja. And he added, we in Info Centre with the welcoming of Microsoft we consider this project for its social dimensions and because it is National duty to be done, to qualify our handicapped sons and daughters to join back the society, so the one equal to achieve their goals and further ambitions. 
            Then Ali Dallol, the General Manager north of the gulf in Microsoft talked thanking Info Centre for their big support for the handicapped and giving them the opportunity to participate actively in building the society and he said Technologies have to be utilized to serve the society and here we see the Technologies' effect in supporting the society and giving a better life for the handicapped and working on rising there abilities and skills.

Strategic Cooperation
            And he added, the cooperation between us and Info Centre is a strategic cooperation and we can see its results in this field today. We are work together to make this as the beginning and to be followed by lot of cooperation and common activities. Info Centre is one of the most initiative Company with Microsoft in different fields and the first in north of Arabian Gulf who is qualified for the Technical support recommended by Microsoft, and it has three section. Training, technical support, organizing and Administration of exhibitions and they are in this field since 1982 (for the last 21 years of success). 
            Principal of Kuwaiti Blinds Association: Mr. Mahmood AL Shatti in his speech said this training program has revived the hopes in so many blinds hearts who felt there continuity with the society and the Technology which connect this world. And he thanked both Info Centre and Microsoft for this pioneer initiative in local level and we appreciate there noble and human efforts. In there caring about our handicapped sons and we appreciate also there huge budget which was allotted to activate the whole program in a perfect manner with specialized and experienced trainees.
            Dr. Issa Ali AL Saadi the assistant under secretary for planning and administrative development in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor recited a short speech in which he thanked the private sector represented by Info Centre and Microsoft for there society support and there care specially for Training and qualifying the handicapped and wished this to be the beginning for more cooperation and mutual activities. 

Gifts and Certificates :
            After that, in gifts ceremony where gifts and souvenir shields were distributed and presented a souvenir shields to M/S. Adnan Moosa, Ali Dallol and Trainer Eng. Ahmad Murtaja.
            Also Mr. Adnan Moosa has presented souvenir gifts to Mr. Mahmood Al Shatti and Dr. Issa AL Saadi and this followed by presenting appreciation certificates to the qualified who completed their course including Hanadi Jasim AL Omani, who said:- we have asked many authorities for this program, but only Info Centre who responded at National and Gulf level and they offered this free of cost along with Microsoft. This course was conducted in Kuwaiti Blind Association's head quarter for 12 weeks and I thank Info Centre and Microsoft for this initiative and unlimited understanding for our abilities specially the course teacher for his cooperation to give all his experience all the time. I have gained a lot from this course, I have designed my own Website as well as in my work as it developed my ability to deal with my professional needs since I work as Principal of AL Noor Printing Press in private education school and holding a L.L.B ( Bachelor of Law) from Kuwait University, also after I completed my first level of this course (JAWS Program) which help blinds to deal with computer using Audio systems in Info Centre. I have been invited to join training course in usage of JAWS for advanced user from brail House Company in U.K for one week, 6 hour / day and all the cost of the course and my personal expenditure and lodging was paid by Microsoft, and I am counted as the only one at Kuwait and Arab World to pass such course.

Most Beneficiary :

             Mr. Ahmad Murtaja, the course Instructor praised Trainee level and said: I have learnt a lot from this group and I think they gained a lot more from the course than from me. They are very active, high in their dealings, very thirsty for knowledge, very fast to understand and ask for information politely. They are an example for student who forces you to give your best, to give them what they deserve. We faced few Technical problem's which could not be done on key board. So, I search the net for solution for that, they also made and for the first time many short cuts on the key board, as God said in the Holy Quran. 
" Its not the eyes that get blind, but it’s the hearts in chests which get blind".
They have proved day after day that they are supreme in many skills even though their sight loss.
            There will be courses for all Kuwait Blind Association members and Info Centre is working to give everybody the chance to deal with computer and graduates of this courses can join higher courses which we will announce later.

Distinct Experience :
            Faisal Saud AL Ebeidan one of the awarded trainees said about his personal experience during this course, it was excellent experience as blind our dealing with computer was limited and this course gave us the opportunity to deal as normal people. We are very happy with this course which allowed us to deal with Audible Programs which benefited us a lot as our practical life since we can use it in our daily use and by the use of new programs. This will increase our interactive with the Net.
